In this round all of the students are working on their poems. There are some types of poems in Khmer so I choose one which is Pomnol. Basically, my poem is about parents advice. I thought about my parents then I decided to write the poem about advice that my parents have given me. The poem starts with 6 syllables. The middle has 4 syllables and the end has 6 syllables also. បណ្តាំមាតាបិតា

គ្រប់កូនស្គាល់អ្នកទាំងពីរ ផ្អែមដូចសេរី ចាំមើលកូនតាំងពីតូច។

កុំឲ្យរូបកូនឆ្នាស់ខូច ព្រោះកូននៅតូច ចង់ឲ្យកូនចរិតល្អ។

ទោះបីដឹងថាគាត់ក្រ ក៏នៅត្រដរ ជួយកូនមិនដែលត្អូញត្អែរ។

ពួកគាត់ខំប្រឹងធ្វើស្រែ ដើម្បីឲ្យតែ កូនគាត់បាននៅស្រណុក។

ពេលខ្លះពួកគាត់កើតទុក្ខ មិនដែលបានសុខ ព្រោះខ្វះលុយឲ្យកូនរៀន។

លីថ្មលីដែកក៏ហ៊ាន ព្រោះតែចង់មាន ទើបហ៊ានលះបង់គ្រប់យ៉ាង។

អលង្ការគ្រឿងសំអាង យកលក់នៅហាង ព្រោះគ្មានអង្ករទៀតទេ។

ត្រូវអ្នកជិតខាងគេជេរ ធ្វើបាបមិនទ្វេ ទឹកភ្នែកក៏ស្រក់ចេញមក។

គេមិនឲ្យកន្លែងជ្រក ទឹកភ្លៀងធ្លាក់មក តើត្រូវរត់ទៅទីណា។

ពុកម៉ែបានប្រាប់កូនថា អំពើល្អណា ចូរកូនចាំទុកក្នុងចិត្ត។

ក្នុងលោកមានមនុស្សខូចពិត កូនកុំទៅជិត ប្រយ័ត្នពួកហ្នឹងធ្វើបាប។

កុំសម្លាប់សត្វដូចចាប នាំឲ្យកូនបាប យល់ល្អមកអានសូត្រវិញ។

ពេលខ្លះកូនត្រូវទន្ទេញ មេរៀនអំបាញ់មិញ ជួយឲ្យកូនចងចាំល្អ។

កុំរើសអើងគេមិនស ឬមួយក៏ក្រ កុំវាយតម្លៃអ្នកផ្សេង។

ពេលដល់ម៉ោងកូនចូលគេង កូនកុំរត់លេង រៀនសូត្រប្រសើរជាងណា។

ខំរៀនកំុគេចសាលា កូនជាកុមារ ទំពាំងឬស្សីដ៏ល្អ។

រៀនសូត្រអក្សរក ខ រៀនដល់តួ​ អ តើកូនបានចេះអីខ្លះ។

ពេលរៀនមិនសូវយល់ច្បាស់ សួរទៅមិត្តខ្លះ អ្នកគ្រូ លោកគ្រូ ក៏បាន។

ម៉ាក់សូមឲ្យកូនក្លាហាន ឡើងសូត្រឡើងអាន នៅក្នុងថ្នាក់រៀនអស្ចារ្យ។

ប៉ាសូមឲ្យកូនវាចា ទន់ភ្លន់កូនណា កូនកុំនិយាយឈ្លើយណា។

មានបុណ្យទៅវត្តទៅវ៉ា កុំភ្លេចម៉ាក់ប៉ា ព្រោះគាត់ជាព្រះរស់យើង។

ទោះបីជាកូនធំឡើង សូមកូនកំុឈ្លើង កុំដូរចរិតពីតូច។

ចរិតដែលម៉ាក់ខំស្រោច កុំឲ្យវាខ្លោច ទុកប្រើនៅពេលខាងមុខ។

រស់នៅមានសេចក្តីសុខ តែងតែមានទុក្ខ ចៀសវាងមិនបានទេណា។

ទោះខំរៀនខ្លាំងប៉ុណ្ណា អក្សរអក្ខរា ខ្មែរយើងសូមកូនកុំភ្លេច។

ទៅរៀននៅឯអាមេរិក កូនត្រូវកុំភ្លេច ប្រពៃណីរបស់ខ្មែរ។

ទេសភាពនៅឯស្រុកស្រែ ក៏វាស្អាតដែរ កុំដើរតែនៅទីក្រុង។

កុំរស់នៅដូចក្នុងទ្រុង ត្រូវមានបម្រុង ថាកូនចង់ទៅទីណា។

ឥឡូវម៉ាក់ប៉ាប្រាថ្នា ដល់កូនជីវ៉ា សូមកូនជួបសេចក្ដីសុខ។

ធម្មតាម៉ាក់ប៉ាអស់ទុក្ខ ឃើញកូនស្រណុក ម៉ាក់ប៉ាស្រណុកដែរណា។

បណ្ដាំរបស់ម៉ាក់ប៉ា រ៉ាយរ៉ាប់ប្រាប់ណា ចូរកូនស្ដាប់កំណាព្យខ្មែរ។

អ្នកអានបើដឹងសូមកែ គោរពពុកម៉ែ ពួកគាត់នឹងសប្បាយចិត្ត។

ទោះបីគាត់នៅឆ្ងាយជិត កុំត្រូវចាំគិត គោរពពួកគាត់ទៅណា។

All of us know these two people,

sweet like pears

Look after me since baby.

Don’t make us become aggressive

because we are young

Want us to have good behavior

Even know that they are poor

Try very hard

Help us never complain

They try to farming

because only

their children are comfortably

Sometimes they are sad

never be fine

because not having enough money for children study

Lift brick lift metal

because want to be rich

can sacrifice everything

Jewelry,

sell at the shop

because have no more rice

The neighbors scold

no less hurting

Tears are coming off

They don’t allow parents to come into their house

Rain is coming

where should go to

Mom and dad have told us that

good things

In the world has bad people

don’t go near them

Be careful they will hurt you.

Don’t kill animals like bird

it let you sin

should come and study.

sometimes you need to remember

lessons at that moment

Help your brain work well.

Don’t be racist they are not white

or they are poor

don’t evaluate others

When it is bedtime

don’t run and play

learning is better

Study hard and don’t get out in school time

you are children

because they are our alive gods

Even you are growing bigger

please don’t​ be so strong

Don’t change the young behavior.

the behavior that mom and dad try to make

don’t make it burn

save it for future

Live with happy life

always have sad

Cannot avoid it
